I’d like to know if it’s possible to manage taxonomies through fields.
I’m building a website about beers, where different beers from small breweries can be uploaded. However, it’s almost impossible to import all breweries in the world as taxonomies in advance.

So my question is: is it possible for users to create new taxonomy terms (for example, new breweries) when they upload a beer?

My assumption is that filtering, sorting, and data analysis are only possible with taxonomies — is that correct, or can this also be done with regular custom fields?
