This is the first time we’ve had to build a blog page for our clients that they want to call “News”

We have changed the post structure permalink to /news/sample-post
We created the archive page and then created an actual page “News”
We have changed the WP > Settings > Reading > Posts Page > News
We reset the permalink structure which uses %postname%

When we go to the news page, it does show the archive. When we click an article it loads but we noticed that the URL drops the /news/

example.com/news/launch turns to example.com/launch

Is this normal behavior for Posts (Blogs)
