Hi,
I am using the Map Widget on my website and a network analysis shows that it is loading Google Fonts externally from Google’s servers.
This external loading occurs immediately when the page loads, which is before a user can provide consent, and therefore poses a GDPR compliance risk (unauthorized IP address transfer).
My goal is to stop this unauthorized data transfer.
Is there a built-in setting, filter, or simple code snippet to completely disable the widget’s default behaviour of loading Google Fonts from external domains and use locally hosted fonts instead? Or is it necessary to use Third-Party Plugin?
Please provide clear instructions on how to disable or modify the Google Fonts loading mechanism in this specific widget.
Thank you for your quick technical guidance.
