Downgrading from paid to free membership & canceling Stripe payment

Hello,

When a user uses Current Plan/Switch Plan to switch from a monthly paid membership to the free plan, they see a pop-up alerting them that the change will take effect immediately. Confirmation takes them to Current Plan again where they see “Switch Plan” but no longer see “Manage subscription.”

However, doesn’t the user also need to separately cancel the automatic renewal payment with Stripe?

How would you suggest the user be stepped through this process so they don’t think that switching to a free plan has also canceled their strip renewal payment?
