After consulting with a data protection officer regarding the requirements of the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR, it was determined that accepting the “Trust device for 30 days” function for the 2FA option is only possible after accepting functional cookies. This means that the two cookies set upon acceptance must be configured as functional cookies within the cookie plugin.

The question now is how to trigger a notification prompting the user to accept functional cookies when the “Trust device for 30 days” function is accepted.

As an interim solution, I would like to disable the “Trust device for 30 days” function. Do you have a solution?
